Waykeeper
Blocks two travellers and charges when struck.
Agoro Games presents
Walk gently. Build together.
A cosy tower defense about pressing carved stamps onto a trade road, holding it through the night, and walking it with someone who is never online when you are.
In development for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac, in English and German. The first region is complete and free to play in your browser today.
Build at dusk, in silence. Hold the road through the night. Walk on at dawn, with everything you placed still standing.

Building has no threat in it and defending has no building in it. Drag a stamp from your satchel to a roadside ring, aim its facing, and only when you say so does the road begin to move.
Return a stamp to the satchel for free. There is no score, no stars, no timer and no leaderboard. If the caravan's goods run out, the road you walked remains, and you walk on.
One road, two travellers. At every fork you must split, and each of you walks a different branch whenever you have time. Once a journey you can go back for the other road: in co-op, that is a gift to your partner. Neither of you is ever asked to be online at the same time, and shared roads are included, free, in the free region.
A run is a seed and a list of what you pressed, so a friend can replay your night exactly, on any device, and it comes out the same.
The Hearthland Road. Seven stops, two forks, one ending. The whole map is visible from the first step, so every choice is an informed one.
They are stamps, not cards. Each one is carved, pressed onto the road, and lifted again whenever you like. Every stamp charges an ability in its own way.

Blocks two travellers and charges when struck.

Long-range light; charges when acting.

Steady pulse; charges over time.

Affordable shelter; charges over time.
Nobody on this road is a monster. They are travellers who want what the caravan carries, and your job is to make them think better of it.

Steady, unhurried, and there are many.

Past your Waykeeper before it turns around.

Slow, strong, and worth every stamp you spend.

Its goods are the only thing you can lose, and even then the road remains.

The first region is not a demo. It is a complete road with its own ending, and it is free, in your browser, right now.
Every traveller and every stamp on the road is modelled as a real object first, then drawn into the game. Turn them around: these are the traveller sculpts the first figurine run is printed from, in full colour at 10 cm on a clay base. The first test prints came off our own printer on 14 September — the build log has the photographs, scars included.

Because a defense is only a seed and a list of stamps, it fits on cards. A stamp deck and a sculpted Hearthland board are in design, for the nights when you would rather press a card than a screen.

More beyond this roadmap will be shared as the road is walked. Content and timing are subject to change.
Reserving is free and asks for nothing but an email. When pre-orders open you hear from us before anyone else, and the free region stays free for everyone, always. Wave 1 is the first run; more waves follow if the road fills up.

We build this one in public. A dated log of what we decided, what it cost, and the things that came out wrong — including the eleven props we had to make twice.
